Navigating Tawridy
What is This Guide?
This guide explains how to move around the Tawridy interface efficiently. Tawridy is designed to minimize clicks and keep you oriented at all times, even when you are deep inside a complex procurement workflow. Once you learn the navigation patterns described here, you will spend less time looking for features and more time doing actual work. The interface follows consistent patterns across every module, so learning these conventions once applies everywhere.
How It Connects
Navigation is the glue that connects every module. The sidebar gives you one-click access to any module. The global search lets you jump to any record across all modules instantly. Breadcrumbs show you exactly where you are and let you backtrack without losing context. The help system is accessible from any page.
Step-by-Step Guide
1. The Sidebar
The sidebar is your primary navigation tool. It is always visible on the left side of the screen.
- Module Groups -- Modules are grouped into collapsible sections: Sales, Procurement, Operations, Finance, Projects, Catalog, Tenders, Communication, and AI.
- Click a group header (e.g., "Procurement") to expand or collapse its sub-modules.
- Click a sub-module (e.g., "RFQs") to navigate to that module's list view.
- The currently active module is highlighted in the sidebar so you always know where you are.
- On smaller screens, the sidebar collapses to an icon-only mode. Hover over an icon to see the module name.
TIP
You can pin your most-used modules to the top of the sidebar. Right-click any module and select Pin to Top for quick access.
2. Global Search
- Click the search bar at the top of the screen, or press Ctrl+K (Windows/Linux) or Cmd+K (Mac).
- Type any keyword -- a customer name, RFQ number, PO reference, product code, or supplier name.
- Results appear instantly grouped by module (e.g., "Customers", "RFQs", "Purchase Orders").
- Click a result to jump directly to that record's detail page.
- Use filters in the search dropdown to narrow results to a specific module or date range.
TIP
Global search also accepts record numbers directly. Type "RFQ-2024-0042" or "PO-1087" to jump straight to that record.
3. Breadcrumbs
- Breadcrumbs appear at the top of every page, just below the search bar.
- They show your current path, for example: Home > Procurement > RFQs > RFQ-2024-0042.
- Click any segment to jump back to that level. Clicking "RFQs" takes you back to the RFQ list view.
- Breadcrumbs are especially useful when you have navigated deep into a record (e.g., viewing a specific line item within an RFQ within a project).
4. The Help Button
- Look for the blue question mark icon in the bottom-right corner of every page.
- Click it to open the help panel.
- The help panel is context-aware -- it shows documentation relevant to the page you are currently viewing.
- From the help panel, you can:
- Read the relevant help article inline.
- Search the full help center.
- Start a guided tour for the current module.
- Contact support with a pre-filled message that includes your current page and user details.
5. Onboarding Tours
- When you first visit a module, Tawridy offers an interactive onboarding tour.
- The tour highlights key areas of the interface one by one, with explanations.
- You can skip the tour at any time or replay it later from the help panel.
- Tours are tracked per user -- once you complete a tour, it will not appear again unless you replay it manually.
6. Keyboard Shortcuts
Tawridy supports keyboard shortcuts for power users. Press ? (question mark) on any page to see the full shortcut list.
| Shortcut | Action |
|---|---|
| Ctrl/Cmd + K | Open global search |
| Ctrl/Cmd + N | Create new record (in current module) |
| Ctrl/Cmd + S | Save current record |
| Esc | Close modal / cancel current action |
| Ctrl/Cmd + / | Open keyboard shortcut reference |
| G then S | Go to Sales |

WARNING
Keyboard shortcuts are disabled when you are inside a text input field. Click outside the field first, then use the shortcut.

Tips & Best Practices
- Use global search instead of clicking through menus. It is almost always faster to type "Cmd+K" and search for what you need than to navigate through the sidebar.
- Pin your top 3 modules. Most users spend 80% of their time in 3 modules. Pin them to save sidebar scrolling.
- Learn the G-key shortcuts. Pressing "G" followed by a letter takes you to a module group instantly. This is the fastest way to switch between Sales and Procurement.
- Use breadcrumbs to backtrack, not the browser back button. The browser back button may take you to an unexpected page if you opened records in the same tab. Breadcrumbs always take you to the correct parent.
- Enable desktop notifications. Go to Settings > Notifications and enable browser notifications for approvals and deadlines so you never miss a time-sensitive action.
FAQ
Q: Can I rearrange the sidebar modules? A: You can pin modules to the top but cannot fully rearrange the sidebar order. The module groups (Sales, Procurement, etc.) follow a fixed logical sequence.
Q: Does Tawridy work on mobile? A: Yes. The interface is responsive. On mobile devices, the sidebar becomes a hamburger menu, and all features remain fully accessible. However, complex tasks like quote comparison are best done on a desktop or tablet.
Q: Can I customize keyboard shortcuts? A: Not currently. The keyboard shortcuts are fixed to ensure consistency across teams. Custom shortcuts may be added in a future update.
Q: How do I reset the onboarding tours? A: Go to Settings > Preferences > Onboarding and click Reset All Tours. The next time you visit a module, the tour will appear again.
Q: Is there a dark mode? A: Yes. Toggle dark mode from your User Avatar > Preferences > Theme. Dark mode applies across the entire interface.
